The Spiritualist, by this time, had a well organized society and had acquired their own building (Wonewoc's first frame school building, erected 1857.) J.T. Potter was lecturer. Exact date of their beginning here unknown.

The Joint Stock Spiritualist Association acquired the first 24x30 rods of land on bluffs just east of business section (their present location.)

Western Wisconsin Camp Association organized on April 24th. The first Camp Meeting was held July 12th to 28th.
